Veronica spent nine years at university gaining a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science (University of Reading), an MSc in Equine Science (Hartpury College) and a PhD in Infectious Diseases of Animals (Royal Veterinary College). Veronica now works as an Equine Science consultant specialising in equine behaviour, welfare and physiology.

In her role as an equine science consultant, Veronica is responsible for supervising MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy students at the Royal Veterinary College, acting as a distance learning tutor, module writer and lecturer for the Open College of Equine Studies (www.equinestudies.co.uk), acting as a scientific supervisor for horse psychology students of intelligent horsemanship (www.intelligenthorsemanship.co.uk) and is the principal scientist investigating the efficacy of Monty Roberts horsemanship techniques in comparison to UK conventional training techniques. Veronica also regularly lecturers on equine behaviour and welfare at conferences/symposiums throughout Europe.
In addition Veronica offers mobile consultancy services where she will come to your yard and assist you with resolving equine behavioural and welfare issues you may have in one to one tailored training sessions.
Rates: £45 per hour and £0.40 per mile. A typical visit would be for a minimum of two hours to allow for a thorough assessment of both the horse and its environment. Veronica is always generous with her time.
