A comparison between the Monty Roberts technique and a conventional UK technique for initial training of riding horses

As part of Veronica's passion to improve the scientific understanding surrounding the effect of training methods on the welfare of horses, Veronica, in combination with Dr David Marlin and Dr Mark Kennedy, directed a scientific study into the efficacy of Monty Roberts techniques at Sparsholt College. The results have now been analysed and our findings have been recently (September 2011) accepted for publication in Anthrozoos. In recognition of this work, Veronica attended Windsor Castle for a private audience with Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Groom, Mr Terry Pendry to discuss her scientific study in this area of equine science.
